Well there's been a few ups and downs over the last few weeks. First of all the big city club fails to put out a team, leaving us with no alternative but to play an inter club game. "Lil ole" Ynysddu then fielded 2 full teams to brush away the cobwebs after Xmas. The DD's then followed up with a fine win against 4th placed Caldicot, although I hear our favourite ref put his hand in his pocket a few times ... again !
We again fielded 2 full squads that day, with the Rats just failing to beat a strong Senghenydd 2nd XV.
And so to the big one ... Round 4 of the Welsh Plate when we welcome Division 1 Cambrian Welfare to the Ynysddu Welfare Ground. Club is open from 12 and Karen and Hayley will be selling bacon rolls, cakes, coffee etc. FAO Nathan Hughes ... there'll be a last minute pitch inspection to decide whether stockings and suspenders will be worn., although I'm sure Bop will have his on !
KO is at 2pm, just in case of extra time.
Let's all get down the club nice and early to support the boys.
